My thoughts of Janene are invariably associated with John, since as a fellow Harmonizer that’s how I came to know her. My primary memories are of an intelligent and caring person, who had a great smile and countenance and always left you feeling like you mattered to her. I recall quartet rehearsals with John at the house, the Potomac Harmony shows, joining John with a quartet surprise on Valentine’s Day, and the Multiple Myeloma 5K’s in Alexandria. It’s a sad time – losing someone of such goodness. Memories sustain us as does the recognition that she brought happiness into many lives.
